Anna Bretting advises debtors and creditors in complex financial and out-of-court restructurings including the assertion of rights in critical situations both prior to and after the filing for insolvency. She also advises various stakeholders (including debtors, insolvency administrators, trustees, secured creditors, shareholders, and investors) during the course of distressed situations and in connection with the preparation and structuring of insolvency proceedings.

Anna has worked at several global law firms and has extensive experience in cross-border restructurings and insolvencies in the automotive and financial services sector, with a focus on the restructuring of individual entities and of entire groups or companies, as well as in distressed M&A transactions and their structuring.

Anna has advised on several high-profile insolvencies and restructurings in the German and European markets. Prior to joining Jones Day in 2023, she was involved in the restructuring of the Benteler Group (leading automotive supplier) and on the insolvency proceedings of the Dr. Schneider Group, Fintyre Group, and Schlemmer Group (automotive suppliers) and the P&R Group (shipping containers/financial investment).
