Jeff Baltruzak has broad experience leading litigation teams and strategy development in high-stakes commercial and personal injury disputes across the country. He has defended prominent banks, asset managers, and minority shareholders in disputes concerning complex financial products, earn outs, valuation, and investment oversight. Jeff currently defends a leading bank in a series of disputes brought by residential mortgage-backed securities (RMBS) deal sponsors seeking to pass on billions in liabilities in the wake of the financial crisis. He also represents universities in football concussion lawsuits brought by former student-athletes.

In 2017, Jeff defeated a fraud case seeking more than $35 million from a leading financial services company. He has recovered tens of millions for policyholders in insurance coverage disputes related to long-term environmental liabilities and pollution policies. He has substantial arbitration hearing experience in AAA (American Arbitration Association), JAMS (Judicial Arbitration and Mediation Services), and private tribunals. At his prior firm, Jeff represented a leading national charity in multiple arbitrations in connection with disputes over the disposition of charitable assets. His prior work also spans the building products, health care, and aircraft industries.

Jeff was selected as a Pennsylvania "Rising Star" in 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018, and 2019 by Super Lawyers magazine. In 2014, he received the Seventh Circuit Bar Association's Pro Bono and Public Service Award for outstanding pro bono work for the United States District Courts of Illinois for his representation of a victim of police brutality.
