Harrison Farmer's practice focuses on advising medical device, pharmaceutical, biotechnology, digital health, and consumer product companies on a broad range of U.S. Food & Drug Administration (FDA) and health care regulatory, compliance, and enforcement matters.
Harrison regularly counsels on pre-market strategy and post-market compliance issues, including product jurisdiction, advertising and promotion, sales and marketing practices, good manufacturing practice and quality system requirements, adverse event reporting, recalls, and inspections. As part of his practice, Harrison also represents clients in investigations and litigation arising under the Administrative Procedure Act (APA), False Claims Act (FCA), Anti-Kickback Statute (AKS), and the Federal Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act (FD&C Act).
Prior to joining Jones Day in 2023, Harrison was an associate in the health care and life sciences practice at an international law firm in Washington, D.C. He also worked at the Texas Health and Human Services Commission, where he focused on fraud and abuse issues. While in law school, he served as a legal extern for a Fortune 500 telecommunications holding company. Harrison is a member of the Food and Drug Law Institute and the American Health Law Association.
