Jean Kuo's practice encompasses a broad range of fields, including M&A, energy, antitrust, employment, and general corporate and commercial matters. She has extensive experience representing Japanese and foreign companies with their investment plans, as well as acquiring or selling shares of Taiwanese companies, and providing counsel on various regulatory issues, including employment matters and Taiwan antitrust compliance.
In addition to her extensive experience in M&A, Jean has represented domestic and foreign companies in Taiwan competition issues and antitrust investigations. In recent years, Jean has advised on large-scale energy investments and executions in Taiwan for Japanese and foreign companies, including assessments and acquisitions of offshore wind farm and solar power projects, as well as the execution of government procurement projects for LNG (liquefied natural gas) tanks.
Jean is frequently invited to give public lectures in Japanese or Chinese on corporate M&A and renewable energy topics in Japan and Taiwan. She is fluent in Japanese, Chinese, and English.
