Adam Salter is the Partner-in-Charge of Jones Day's Perth Office and also heads up the Labor & Employment Practice in Australia. He has more than 25 years of cross-border experience advising clients on labor and employment, benefits, M&A, outsourcing, and cybersecurity issues.

Adam regularly assists clients with drafting Australian employment contracts and policies (including equity and non-equity compensation plans) and provides advice regarding executive hiring and dismissal, statutory entitlements, industrial instruments (including Modern Awards and Enterprise Agreements), termination of employment, redundancy programs, drafting and enforcing post-employment restraints, secondments, personal data and privacy security, and transfer of business issues. He also regularly assists clients with statutory and contractual data privacy issues relating to the collection, disclosure, and protection of personal information and cybersecurity issues (including mandatory data breach notification requirements).

In addition to his labor and employment experience, Adam has more than a decade of dedicated experience advising clients on Australian and cross-border private treaty mergers and acquisitions, corporate reorganizations, joint ventures, strategic alliances, outsourcing, distribution, supply, licensing, and other general commercial contracts, with a particular focus on the information technology and electronic payment sectors. He has also assisted U.S., European, and other foreign multinationals in establishing operations in Australia.

Adam regularly presents at local and international labor and employment and cybersecurity conferences (including global labor relations conferences run by HR Policy Association and the Asia Pacific Employee Relations Group).
