Pierre Heitzmann traite principalement des dossiers d'arbitrage international et de contentieux commerciaux complexes, relatifs notamment à des contrats de licence, contrats de construction et d'ingéniérie, accords de joint ventures, contrats de distribution et litiges post-acquisitions. Pierre Heitzmann conseille des entreprises privées, des Etats et des entités publiques dans le cadre de litiges internationaux.

Pierre Heitzmann intervient aussi bien en qualité d'arbitre que de conseil lors de procédures d'arbitrage international, comprenant, entre autres, des procédures devant la CCI, le DIAC (Dubai International Arbitration Center), la SCC (Stockholm Chamber of Commerce) et en application du règlement de la CNUDCI. Il plaide régulièrement devant les tribunaux français en relation avec des dossiers d'arbitrage. Il est également praticien enregistré par les tribunaux du DIFC (Dubai International Financial Center). Les dossiers récents de Pierre comprennent le suivi en qualité d'arbitre unique de plusieurs arbitrages internationaux ; la représentationen en qualité de lead counsel d'un client européen dans un arbitrage CCI en droit coréen à Tokyo dans un dossier de joint-venture ; l'obtention d'un accord pour un client saoudien lors d'un litige post-acquisition ; l'obtention et l'exécution d'une sentence arbitrale CCI au Maroc dans un litige lié à l'interruption d'un projet de construction ; la conduite d'un arbitrage CCI relatif à un contrat de licence régi par le droit de New York impliquant des demandes pour violation de secrets d'affaires ; la conduite d'un arbitrage CCI à Doha régi par le droit qatari sur un grand projet d'isolation d'une usine de production de gaz et de GNL ; et la représentation d'une société pharmaceutique à l'occasion de diverses procédures en contrefaçon et mettant en cause la validité d'actes administratifs.

Pierre Heitzmann est l'auteur de nombreux articles et commentaires publiés dans des revues d'arbitrage. Avant de s'installer au bureau de Dubai, il est intervenu en tant que Maître de conférences à Sciences-Po Paris en droit international des contrats, et a donné de nombreuses formations en matière d'arbitrage international à l'EFE (Edition Formation Entreprises).
