Spécialisé en propriété intellectuelle, Philippe Marchiset intervient tant en contentieux qu’en conseil. Il accompagne des entreprises françaises et internationales dans leurs problématiques de droit des marques, droit d'auteur, brevets, appellations d’origine, noms de domaine, nouvelles technologies et données personnelles.

Philippe Marchiset est particulièrement impliqué dans la protection et la valorisation des appellations géographiques et indications géographiques dans les secteurs vitivinicole, des spiritueux et des produits agricoles, ainsi que des denrées alimentaires. Il assiste de nombreux producteurs, négociants, interprofessions et autres organismes dans le cadre de dossiers relatifs à la loi Evin. Il a acquis une expérience notable dans la réglementation vitivinicole et la gestion des marques de vin dites domaniales.

En outre, Philippe Marchiset conseille des intervenants sur la protection de leurs droits sur Internet (cybersquatting, dénigrement, parasitisme) et intervient dans le cadre de la réalisation d’audits et d’opérations d’introduction en bourse de jeunes sociétés innovantes. Son expérience inclut également la protection et l'usage des noms patronymiques, ainsi que la défense des marques dans les secteurs de l'habillement et des cosmétiques (saisie-contrefaçon, retenues douanières).

En matière de brevets, il intervient régulièrement dans le cadre d'actions en contrefaçon, notamment dans des dossiers impliquant des problématiques FRAND ou dans des domaines hautement technologiques tels que l'ADSL, le comptage électrique et les moyens de paiement.

Philippe Marchiset a exercé plusieurs responsabilités associatives au sein de l’Association des élèves et diplômés Juristes de Sciences Po (AJSP / Sciences PI). Il est également membre de l'AIDV (Association des juristes de la vigne et du vin).

Il enseigne le droit de la culture et de la propriété intellectuelle au sein du master 2 "Conception et direction de projets culturels" de l'Université Paris III - Sorbonne Nouvelle, et la propriété intellectuelle appliquée aux médicaments dans le DU de Criminalité Pharmaceutique à Paris 2, Panthéon Assas.

Philippe Marchiset est titulaire de la spécialisation du CNB en propriété intellectuelle depuis 2024.
