Art is a trusted advisor to health care industry clients, representing providers and payers in antitrust actions, False Claims Act and Medicare and Medicaid reimbursement actions, affiliation disputes, whistleblower actions, ERISA (Employee Retirement Income Security Act) class actions, and employment disputes.
Art helps cryptocurrency and digital asset companies address novel business and legal issues worldwide. He also represents private equity firms and their portfolio companies in post-closing disputes involving contract, tort, and statutory claims; disputes involving representation and warranty insurance policies; and disputes with co-investors, partners, and third-party advisors.
Prior to rejoining Jones Day, Art represented the Detroit Institute of Arts in the City of Detroit's historic chapter 9 bankruptcy case, helping to safeguard its multibillion dollar art collection.
