Kent Richey has more than 30 years' experience in real estate investments, ventures, and private equity funds, including forming one of the first India funds and several Mexico funds. Kent represented the founding principals in the formation of Brightstone Capital Partners, a real estate investment manager, alongside Vanke USA, the U.S. affiliate of China's largest public real estate development company.
Kent's clients include CBRE Global Investment Partners, Credit Suisse Asset Management, and Brightstone Capital Partners. Following the formation of Brightstone Capital Partners, Kent has gone on to represent Brightstone in its property acquisitions, including its purchase and subsequent disposition of the Lantana Media Complex, in Santa Monica, California.
Prior to joining Jones Day in 2004, Kent acted as general counsel to the Peabody Funds, private real estate funds jointly sponsored by O'Connor Capital Partners and JPMorgan Chase, and as general counsel to Allegro Resorts, an owner/operator of all-inclusive resort hotels controlled by Westbrook Real Estate Partners.
