Courtney Lyons Snyder is a litigator who crafts creative and strategic responses for companies facing high-profile litigation, state attorneys general investigations, Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB), Federal Trade Commission (FTC), Department of Justice (DOJ), and other federal agency investigations, federal and state legislative investigations and hearings, and regulatory challenges. She uses her decade-long experience as a litigator and her financial regulatory enforcement and compliance experience to counsel clients on avoiding litigation, developing legislative and other solutions to litigation, and responding to media inquiries. Her experience spans across a range of industries and includes representation of public and private companies in the technology, education, consumer products, financial products and services, and health care sectors.
Courtney is the administrative partner for the Firm's State Attorney General Enforcement, Investigations & Litigation Practice. She has been involved in numerous federal and state attorney general multistate investigations and actions and regularly attends meetings of the Democratic Attorneys General Association, the Republican Attorneys General Association, and the National Association of Attorneys General.
Courtney also regularly defends financial institutions, most recently in connection with disputes arising out of residential mortgage-backed securities (RMBS), including RMBS trustee litigation, repurchase claims, and other RMBS contractual disputes.
She currently serves on the board of directors for the Pennsylvania Chamber of Business & Industry.
