Beth Manning represents clients in a broad range of industries in complex litigation matters, including class actions, multidistrict litigation, False Claims Act litigation, and contract disputes. As a commercial litigator, her practice also involves disputes and counseling related to consumer protection statutes, antitrust claims, and supply chain issues. Beth works with clients to develop risk management tactics and strategies for litigation in federal and state courts, for administrative proceedings, and for arbitration and mediation.
Beth has handled all stages of litigation. She has extensive experience in strategic coordination and development of every aspect of discovery, including taking and defending depositions and expert discovery. Beth's experience includes working on and managing litigation teams defending clients in multidistrict litigation as well as class actions across the country in federal and state courts. Her recent work includes representing a client in the health care industry in multidistrict litigation and related state court actions pending across the country, defeating class certification in federal multidistrict litigation, obtaining a summary judgment ruling in a False Claims Act case, reversing on appeal a state court ruling relating to a dispute over rates charged by a public utility, and defending a highly publicized parking meter dispute and eliminating exposure in true up adjustments.
Beth also has an active pro bono practice assisting children with disabilities in special education matters. She is a member of Equip for Equality's Auxiliary Board and serves on the Chicago Office's Pro Bono Committee.
